RRB JE Exam Selection 2019

The selection procedure to recruit the Junior Engineers will be decided by the officials of the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). There are 3 stages of RRB JE Selection Procedure and the candidates must clear all the stages to secure a job in Railways.

The RRB JE Selection Procedure is listed below:

1. Computer Based Test Stage I

2. Computer Based Test Stage II

3. Document Verification & Medical Examination

RRB JE Exam Pattern For CBT Stage I

The RRB JE exam pattern 2019 is given below:

  • General Awareness section has 15 questions and total marks for this section is 15

  • Mathematics section has 30 questions and total marks for this section is 30

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning section has 25 questions and has a total mark of about 25

  • General Science section has 30 questions and has a total mark of about 30

  • Combining all the questions the total mark is about 100

This the caste-wise split of minimum cut off mark:

1. General:40%

2. OBC:30%

3. SC:30%

4. ST:25%

RRB JE Exam Pattern For CBT Stage 2

The candidates who have successfully cleared the first stage can attend the second stage of the computer-based test. The RRB JE exam pattern for CBT stage 2 is mentioned below:

  • The Basics of Computer and Application has 10 questions and the total mark allocated to it is 10

  • The General Awareness has 15 questions and the total mark allocated to it is 15

  • The Basics of Environment and Pollution Control has 10 questions and the total mark allocated to it is 10

  • There are 100 technical abilities questions and the total mark allocated to it is 100

  • There are 15 Physics and Chemistry questions and the total mark is around 150.

  • The stage-wise minimum passing percentage is around 150

RRB Document Verification and Medical Examination

These are the documents to be carried during document verification

1. High School Examination Certificate

2. Income Certificate for Waiving Examination Fee

3. Proof for Date of Birth and Matric qualification

4. Diploma/ Degree Certificate

5. Minority declaration on Non-judicial Stamp Paper

6. Category Certificate

7. Medical Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PWD)

8. NOC from serving employees/ Ex-Servicemen

The next stage after clearing the exam is document verification where the candidates are summoned for a medical test. The candidates will be examined by the officials with the help of medical tests. After the test results are out, the candidates who have cleared all the three rounds will be appointed as a Junior Engineer in Indian Railways.
